               How to choose a doubles partner

In the 80s there was a saying on the pro-circuit: 'The best doubles team is anyone and McEnroe'. John McEnroe seemed to win no matter whom he partnered. But in reality it was because his partner complimented John's skills.
At our level it is difficult to have the luxury of trying out different combinations--it's hard enough to find someone to play tennis !
But the best partners are those that:
1. Listen.
2.Guide.
3.Communicate.
4.Encourage
4.And most importantly have fun on the court no matter the result.
